July 2010 New Ultrasound machine for the clinic

The clinic has a shiny new ultrasound machine to replace the very basic one it has been using over the last few years. The new machine has a much better picture and many more applications and will vastly enhance our ability to diagnose various conditions, especially heart disease.

May 2010 Welcome Natasha

To new receptionist Natasha Stephen. You will see Natasha's smiling face on reception in the evenings and on Saturdays. Natasha has recently returned from a stint in the UK and has a ten month old son called Aidan.

November 2008 Well Done .....

to Rachael and Heather who have both completed their studies for the year. Rachael has finished her post graduate ultrasound studies through Sydney University and Heather has completed another year in her diploma of veterinary nursing.

July 2008 Bye to Kush Hi to Michelle

This month we said goodbye to Dr Kushla McIndoe. Kushla is leaving the veterinary profession to pursue a career in graphic arts and we wish her all the best with that. Replacing her is Dr Michelle Johnston. Michelle hails from England and has a pet greyhound, Eddy

July 2008 A Facelift for the clinic

We are pleased to tell you that the clinic will be getting a facelift later on in the year, thanks to the efforts of Chris Adams of Adams house. Chris a long time client of Abbotts Way will be draggng the clinic from the 80's into the noughties........ we can't wait!!

There are a couple of new smiling faces at Abbotts Way. Shelley Broadbent our sparkling new receptionist and dog walker extraordinaire has replaced Jenny who is expecting a baby girl any day now. Vet nurse Sharron Rose joins us from the far north to replace Julie and is starting to come to terms with the Auckland traffic.

May 2008 A Surgical Milestone for David....

He has now performed 15 TTO surgeries. Davind began using this method of curciate ligament repair back in August 2006 and has seen some excellent results. His most recent satisfied customer was Mille the St Bernard who weighed in at 65kgs.

February 2008 Ultrasound is here!

The clinic now has an ultrasound machine and Rachael is currently honing her skills through a Sydney University study programme. Poor Stanley has been the guinea pig and is sporting some rather unusual haircuts.  Ultrasound is a very important diagnostic tool with countless benefits and will be a very valuable addition to the services offered at Abbotts Way

January 2008 Welcome Heather

We are very pleased to welcome veterinary nurse Heather Gudsell who has moved up from Tauranga to join the Abbotts Way Team. Heather has two cats, Blue and Chippy and is currently studying for her diploma in veterinary nursing.
