David attended a 2 day workshop on Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) and Modern techniques in Cruciate Surgery and medial patellar luxation in the dog. This course was presented by an American Specialist Dr Jeff Brourman with the help of 2 Australian specialists, Dr Tony Black and Dr. Chris Tan.
The course looked at all aspects of Cruciate rupture but the focus was on using the Tibial Tuberosity Advancement procedure to stabilise the knee joint following rupture of the ligament. This excellent course was organised by Dr Ilana Mendels of VetPrac and took place at the Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, NSW. We were able to practise the TTA procedure using the latest X-Gen system. Now we are able to apply new techniques to perform surgery for pet more efficient, safe and quick.
